The American Team rallied to win five of the six singles
and take the Match by 5 ½ to 3 ½. The outcome was determined
by the last match of the day when Miss Charlotte Glutting
won the final three holes to defeat Miss Nan Baird, 1 up,
to assure the United States' victory. The British led, 2 ½
to ½, after the foursomes. The singles matches were hard fought,
going at least as far as the 17th green. The match was played
at the Essex County Club, Manchester, Mass.
